State filing fee: Filing fee of $50 per authority type (Virginia DMV 'How to Apply' page); Va. Code 46.2-2120 sets the $50 filing fee for an original certificate of fitness and $3 for a duplicate. Property carrier permits also carry a $10 annual fee per vehicle.
